There is one thing money can’t buy and that is childhood days. To make it special children were given a special treat starting from morning assembly conducted by their very own teachers followed by motivational speeches in Tamil and English. A special song dedicated to all the children was sung by all the teachers with much zeal. Hobby day and Pet day were other events organised as part of children’s day celebration where children got to display their hobby as well as get their pet. Overall a fun-filled day for the children to cherish for life.
Vels Vidyashram observed WORLD SOIL DAY on 5th December. Faculty from Vels University Agricultural department came to the campus to discuss and enlighten the students about germination. Takeaway for all students were seed packets to encourage them to experience the germination process themselves.
Sports teach students skills such as leadership, accountability and learning to work with a sense of responsibility and confidence. Sports week was held on 17.10.22-21.10.22 in which various indoor and outdoor activities along with aerobics were conducted to highlight the significance of sports in one’s life.
To create awareness about fire safety with Diwali round the corner FIRE department officials visited Vels University campus and demonstrated safety measures to be followed by children which reached the children really well and made them understand how important it is to play safe in order to have a joyous Diwali.
Unity in diversity is our identity that has the power to illuminate the darkness of the whole earth. ‘Run for unity’ was held today for students of grade 6,7,8 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Iron man of India- Shri Vallabhbhai Patel.

The theme for World Environment Day this year was ‘Only One Earth’. It calls for collective and transformative action on a global scale to celebrate, protect and restore the Earth.
